Andrew Lyons
“I feel that my illustrations are the sum of my influences: mid-century abstract painting, French comic books (I live in France) and listening to early jazz music,” says Andrew of his work.
He’s an illustrator whose cool colour palettes depict calm, optimistic scenes of leisure and the more pleasant aspects of life on earth. Andrew’s confident style has an understated elegance to it - perhaps owing to his love of old Tintin comics, and really anything vintage. He is trained as a painter and now lives in Dijon where he works for the likes of the Wall Street Journal, GQ, United Airlines, Wired and Google.
