Gustaf Öhrnell Hjalmars is a freelance illustrator living in Stockholm, Sweden. His specialism is creating vector-based artworks combined with hand-made textures and patterns. Using a digital approach but aiming for a handmade feel, the result is a distinctive modern look with a retro twist.
Often conceptual, always visually pleasing, his work ranges from character design to editorial illustration, from book covers to advertising and animation. With years of experience behind him, Gustaf knows that the key to great work is showing up every day with a healthy mix of grit and inspiration.
