Celebrating Indy's return to the big screen, Disney got in touch to ask our three film loving artists to create posters for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, to feature across their DisneyStudiosUK and Lucasfilm social media channels.

Shortly after the general release of the film on 28th June 2023, Charlie Davis' illustration was the first on the scene, with his dynamic composition taking inspiration from classic film posters.
"I wanted to capture the action and adventure unfold in front of the iconic silhouette of Indiana. Keen to explore disruptive elements that break through the characters and create a sense of energy to the illustration."
All three artists were given just a few hints and references from the film to create their concepts, so Matt Saunders set out to capture the globe-trotting adventure of the Indiana Jones series, without giving any spoilers!.
"I chose to make the image colourful and vibrant to capture my anticipation of the new movie and also reflect the era of the 60s explosion of colour and offset with this a more muted Indy colours to show a man who feels as though he is out of touch with his time and place."

Last but not least, Tim McDonagh's incredible attention to the smallest detail draws you in to this curious and dark scene, watched over by Indy's recognisable silhouette. "I wanted to create something that paid homage to the mystery and sense of exploration that I’ve always come to love when watching Indiana Jones, I also love drawing rocks!."
