In May 2026, the five regions of Wales will go to the polls to elect the Senedd. In a bid to encourage the younger population of Wales to get out and vote, Luke McConkey was approached by Storm And Shelter agency and asked to create a character-led campaign for Vote Wales.
The starting point was a lively voiceover. Luke's task was to bring the script to life with a healthy dose of his bright and vibrant characters. He wasted no time getting to work, creating a suite of characters and bringing them to life with dynamic angles and playful energy. The campaign was then animated as well as being utilised as across posters. The finished results will appear heavily across Wales in both TV adverts as well as OOH and DOOH over the coming months.
It was a joy to work with Luke McConkey on such a dynamic and important campaign. A huge thank you to Freddy Raistrick and the entire team at Storm And Shelter too for a brilliant, smoothly run and collaborative project. As they say in Wales "Pleidleisia gyda hyder" ... "Vote with confidence!"
